Adler Graduate School (AGS)
AGS has served the community and low-income populations since 1991 via the hundreds of AGS graduates who have come through an AGS Master's Program, and the thousand of hours contributed through AGS internships every year. The Social Interest in Action Capital Campaign goal of $6.3 million is for the purchase and renovation of its currently leased location along I-494 in Richfield. The Social Interest in Action Campaign will allow AGS to continue to provide valuable services to the community, but will also initiate a series of new programs and services designed to reach underserved populations throughout the Twin Cities. In addition, as the owner of its own institution, AGS will gain the stability needed to support these new programs and services.

Asian Pacific Cultural Center (APCC)
APCC, a nonprofit organization devoted to preserving and celebrating the arts, culture, and traditions of all Asian populations in Minnesota, is in the planning stage of a capital project to build an Asian Cultural Center at the former Hamm's Brewery in St. Paul. APCC will retro-fit and historically preserve four buildings to create a 55,000 square foot building with a theater, banquet facilities with commercial kitchen, gallery/exhibit space, resource library, classrooms, and office space. The estimated cost of the project is $18 million. To date, over $2 million has been committed. The Capital Campaign will run through 2009, and the Center is expected to open in 2010.

Jones-Harrison
Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc. is conducting a feasibility study to assess the potential philanthropic support for a $5 million capital and endowment fundraising effort. The Link
The Link reduces violence in communities by helping to reshape the lives of our youth. Most youth find their way to The Link because they display behaviors such as chronic truancy, school failure, gang involvement, delinquency, substance abuse, interpersonal conflict, or homelessness. The Link helps them set aside these choices in favor of the positive aspects of their lives. Counter-productive activity is replaced with clear thinking, careful goal-setting and ultimately, significant personal and family improvement. The $1.5 million Capital Campaign will allow The Link to purchase and complete the necessary renovations to its new headquarters space.

Little Earth Community Partnership (LECP)
Little Earth, the nation's only urban housing development with American Indian preference, is launching a Capacity-Building and Program Development Initiative that builds on the stunning transformations now underway in the community. From decreased crime to increased resident activism, Little Earth residents and board have vowed to move away from a dependence mode toward self-determination. Outcomes of the Little Earth initiative include increasing: the parental involvement in children's education; pre-school enrollment rates; high school graduation rate; employment rate; community safety; resident involvement; home ownership; and earned income. Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc. is in its early stages of active fundraising for Phase I of the Long Range Plan. The goal amount for Phase I is $3.067 million.

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS)
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is the state's largest non-profit social service agency. In 2005 Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc. was approached by the organization to help plan, organize, and conduct a major Capital Campaign for the construction of a new "Center for Changing Lives" and 48 units of supportive housing in South Minneapolis. Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc. was contracted to raise $11 million of the total $27 million cost. As of January 2008, approximately 85% of the goal has been reached through efforts of Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc., LSS' executive leadership and Advancement Division, and a strong Capital Campaign Committee.

M

Merrick Community Services (MCS)
MCS operates the Merrick Community Center, at 715 Edgerton Street, where most services are delivered, and the Eastside Community Center, in St. Paul. Each year, MCS staff and volunteers bring intensive support to 300 distressed families, enhance the lives and learning of 400 children, make 900 connections to job openings, host 1,000 events, prepare 47,000 meals, and deliver 25,000 units of emergency services to neighbors. In addition, two food shelves and a job bank help meet the needs of a population whose diversity changes and increases rapidly. The 100th Anniversary Capital Campaign will allow MCS to build a new, 27,000 square foot community center that will be erected near the corner of Payne and Maryland on the Arlington Parks and Recreation site owned by the City of St. Paul. Proceeds from the sale of 715 Edgerton will be applied to the $9 million Capital Campaign. To date, 25% of the goal has been reached, with many months remaining in the Campaign.

Plymouth Christian Youth Center (PCYC)
PCYC is located at the intersection of West Broadway and Oliver Avenue North in North Minneapolis, in an area of the city which has the highest percentage of people living in poverty (40 percent or more, including 36% of the children under 18 compared to 25% city-wide).

In 2006, as a fundamental part of its strategic plan, Plymouth Christian Youth Center's (PCYC) Board of Directors adopted a vision that calls for a Capri Theater Renaissance which will "bring up the lights" on a year-round arts program that inspires young people, develops their skills, builds community and draws thousands of youth and adults to a top-notch North Minneapolis performance venue on West Broadway. Crowley, White & Helmer, Inc. is conducting preliminary work in preparation for a $7-10 million capital, program expansion and endowment campaign.

St. Anne's Community Development Corporation (SACDC)
SACDC is an independent, non-denominational, single-purpose nonprofit corporation. SACDC has planned a senior housing community located near West Broadway in North Minneapolis that will serve people within a broad range of incomes. This senior housing community will support residents' ability to "age in place" and will offer opportunities for intergenerational service. The project has gathered extensive community and governmental support and is viewed as a critical component of the redevelopment of West Broadway. The total project cost is approximately $13.4 million. CWH will continue to work with SACDC in 2008 on a Capital Campaign that is expected to secure approximately $1.4 million; the remainder of the $13.4 million in project costs already had been secured by SACDC through government support and financing.
